Microgaming enters GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS for the largest jackpot payout in an online slot machine game!

ISLE OF MAN – Microgaming has officially been awarded the Guinness World Records title for the ‘Largest jackpot payout in an online slot machine game’.

On 6th October 2015, Microgaming’s Mega Moolah slot made history when UK player Jon Heywood hit the mega jackpot, scooping £13,213,838.68 (€17,879,645.12). The Cheshire soldier became an instant millionaire from a 25p bet, receiving the life-changing amount via a single payment. 

After a thorough approval process with evidence submitted by both Betway and Microgaming, including ratification from eCOGRA, Guinness World Records has confirmed the win as a world record. Microgaming shares the Guinness World Records achievement with operator Betway, and jackpot winner, Jon.
