Microgaming marks 20 years on the Isle of Man with 20 charitable donations

05.05.2021

ISLE OF MAN – Microgaming is to make 20 donations to Isle of Man charities this year as the company marks two decades since landing on the island’s shores.

Through its PlayItForward corporate social responsibility scheme, Microgaming is this year supporting twenty organisations that touch all areas of the community.

Having already supported the North Ramsey Bowling Club, Ramsey Grammar School, IOM Foodbank, and a young person training to be a paramedic, sixteen further donations are set to follow in 2021.

Since relocating to the Isle of Man in April 2001, Microgaming has been committed to supporting the local community here, contributing more than £3.5 million to charitable initiatives.

In further celebration of the 20-year milestone, Microgaming plans to create a ‘microforest’ in the Manx countryside, which will benefit wildlife and biodiversity for years to come. Working in conjunction with the Manx Wildlife Trust, the company’s staff will plant 1,500 native trees in the south of the Isle of Man in October.

It’s a special year for all of us at Microgaming, and I couldn’t think of a more appropriate way to mark 20 years on the Isle of Man than supporting 20 of the island’s great causes. I’m proud that we continue to extend our roots here year after year, playing an active role in the community through PlayItForward.
